Oregon Wave Energy Partners, LLC has filed a preliminary permit application [1] for a proposed wave energy project that would be located 3-6 miles offshore in Lincoln County, Oregon. Comments and motions to intervene are due to FERC [2] by February 18, 2007.

According to FERC, the proposed project (P-12750):

"[W]ould consist of: (1) 200 to 400 Power Buoys having a total installed capacity of 100 megawatts, (2) a proposed 13.8 kilovolt transmission line, and (3) appurtenant facilities. The project is estimated to have an annual generation of 306.6 gigawatt-hours per-unit per-year, which would be sold to a local utility."
