Threatened/endangered: FERC has concluded the relicensing and continued operation of the project is likely to adversely affect the valley elderberry longhorn beetle. A USFWS Biological Opinion is due to FERC 11/5/05

Recreational values: Bypass reach has class III whitewater, 14 miles of class IV-V below powerhouse

Other values: New license proposes min. flow of 25-60 cfs.

Southern California Edison (SCE) took advantage of the new Energy Policy Act rules to file alternatives to the 4(e) mandatory conditions that were filed by the U.S. Forest Service on 5/20/05.
SCE did not not request a trial-type hearing.
