Description

The project consists of a 200-acre Barker reservoir created by the 175 ft high Barker dam built in 1909. The power plant is located in Boulder Canyon, south of Boulder Creek and State Highway 19 approximately 3.25 miles west of Boulder.

The project facilities are now primarily used for water supply. Only one of the two 10MW generating unit is functional. In March 2009, the City of Boulder filed for a conduit exemption.
