Description

This project is located on the Kalamazoo River near the City of Allegan in Allegan County, Michigan.

The project consists of:

• a 30-foot-high, 1,330-foot-long dam,
• a 6-mile-long, 1,550-acre reservoir, and
• a powerhouse with three generating units. 

The project is operated in a run-of-river mode. Its generates an average of 13,041 megawatt hours (MWh) annually
