Description
The Piney Hydroelectric Project is located on the Clarion River, in Clarion County, Pennsylvania.
The Project consists of a 16-mile long impoundment, a concrete gravity-arch dam with a maximum height of 139 feet, intake structures, and a powerhouse with three vertical Francis turbine-generator units.
The Piney Project, located approximately 3 miles southwest of the town of Clarion, was constructed in 1924.
