Although the public may comment on the new rules within the next sixty days, they take effect immediately, squandering the ability for the public to have an impact on something that directly affects a public resource - rivers. ![]() FERC publishes Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (CEII) ruleFERC issued a new rule that restricts access to certain information about energy infrastructure that may pose national security concerns. (FERC calls this Critical Energy Infrastructure Information, or CEII). This rule replaces a previous (and similar) policy which was issued shortly after the September 11, 2001 attacks. ![]() |
