DOI and DOE Enter MOU to Foster Collaboration on Offshore Marine and Hydrokinetic Energy Projects

The Department of Interior and the Department of Energy have agreed to strengthen the working relationship between the two agencies on the future development of commercial renewable offshore energy projects, including the marine and hydrokinetic energy projects, on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf (OCS).

The Bureau of Ocean Energy, Management, Regulation, and Enforcement (BOEMRE) and Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on June 29, 2010 on behalf of the DOI and DOE respectively.
