FERC revoked the license for this project in October 2014 after the licensee failed to construct fish passage as required by the license issued in 1985. Despite efforts by the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) and National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) to assist the licensee, the licensee failed to consult and conform to the specifications for fish passage requirements.
The revocation of the license now removes the project from federal jurisdiction and the dam will be under the jurisdiction of the state.
